We need your help to bring the first ever Maker Faire to India! Following in the footsteps of maker faires across America, Europe, Japan, and Africa, Maker Faire India is an all-ages showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness. It is a celebration of everyone who makes things, and a place where people like YOU can meet like minded innovators.
Maker Faire India: Ahmedabad will occur at the National Institute of Design (NID) in Paldi from 4-5 January, 2014. It is a non-commercial event, and free for the public to attend. The grounds will be filled with booths on which invited makers can show off their projects, there will be a stage for demonstrations, and there will be workshops throughout the day for attendees to make things of their own.
Makers range from artisans to jugaad auto-mechanics to scientists to robotics experts to farmers—we are of all ages and backgrounds, and we are excited to share our inventions and collaborate with others. By participating in Maker Faire India, you will join a growing community of top innovators from Gujarat and the rest of India. In addition to meeting brilliant makers, there’s a potential for international exposure and networking.
Please fill out our maker application, and we will be in touch within the week. For any information that you may require, kindly contact firstname.lastname@example.org
