Bangalore Payments Hackathon 2014 from July 5-6, 2014

Bangalore Payments Hackathon brings together developers, coders and entrepreneurs for a coding marathon of creativity and hands-on developer collaboration.

Money is an integral part of our everyday life as it enables commerce. Despite of all the advancements in IT and digitization, more than 96% of transactions in India happen in cash. Cash is so inefficent as a financial instrument and is costly to store and difficult to carry safely. We need to create solutions to improve the penetration of digital money. Around half of our population doesn’t have a bank account. The issue of Financial inclusion is a primary problem to solve. Let’s build for them! There are more than 100 million people in India who live outside their home cities and find it difficult to transfer money to their families in an easy and quick way. Let’s create solutions for them. The Bangalore Payments Hackathon is scheduled on 5th and 6th July 2014.
