SCO Startup Forum 2021
The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Government of India hosted the first-ever SCO Startup Forum on 27th October 2020. The SCO Startup Forum laid the foundation for multilateral cooperation and engagement for startups. The Forum had 1 plenary session and 6 simultaneous activity zones wherein 11 different activities were held within 3.5 hours in three languages- English, Mandarin, and Russian. The Forum also received global participation- 2,600+ observers from 60 countries and 6 continents registered for the SCO Startup Forum. After the success of the first SCO Startup Forum, the 2nd edition of the Forum is being organised to empower the local startup ecosystems and increase scaling opportunities.

Startup Showcase
A virtual discovery platform with a repository of innovative startups displaying various features of their innovation, across sectors, from the SCO Member States.
Sharing of Best Practices
A dedicated page- The SCO Startup Knowledge Bank- serving as a repository of information about the startup ecosystems in the SCO Member States.
Knowledge Sharing Workshop
A workshop to build capacity among the SCO Startup founders by highlighting the nuances of the startup ecosystem.
Multilateral Incubator Program
An incubator roundtable to discuss the Incubation ecosystem followed by a 30-minute virtual tour by leading Indian Incubators.
Corporate & Investor Engagement
To identify promising start-ups that are leading the charge of innovation and excellence and provide the winners an opportunity to work with 5 leading corporates on providing innovative solutions.
Procuring Social Innovations
A roundtable to discuss provisions in the public procurement process for providing startups access to Government markets.
