Alcheringa 2015 – Cultural Festival in IIT Guwahati from Jan 29 – Feb 1, 2015

With a history of bringing Guwahati and the North-east into the spotlight, Alcheringa starts afresh for its 19th edition. Known for its fervent exhibition of art and culture, Alcheringa has played expert host to a variety of eminent artistes like the Michael Angelo Batio, Swiss Folk Metal band Eluveitie, the Israeli Oriental Metal band Orphaned Land, Irish Folk Band Ciorras, classical maestros like Guilliano Modarelli and Anoushka Shankar, and of course Bollywood personalities such as Mohit Chauhan, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Shilpa Rao, KK, Shaan and Sonu Nigam, to name a few.

Witnessing a staggering attendance of over 50,000 people and 350 colleges over the 4-day fest, Alcheringa is hands-down, one of the biggest events in the Eastern region of the nation. The year 2015 promises to be bigger in all respects. So hold your breath and stay tuned, for the countdown to the “Eternal Dreamtime” begins now!
