Amit Trivedi is an Indian music composer, singer and lyricist, known for his work in Bollywood. After having composed jingles and music for theatre and non-film albums, he made his debut as a music composer with the suspense thriller, Aamir in 2008. He shot to fame with the critically acclaimed film, Dev D (2009), for which he also won the National Film Award for Best Music Direction in the year 2010.
Amit has also composed for films like Wake Up Sid (2009), Udaan (2010), No One Killed Jessica (2011), Ishaqzaade (2012), Lootera (2013), Kai po che! (2013), Bombay Talkies (2013). He featured in MTV`s popular music show, Coke Studio, which eventually went on to become a rage. His other notable movie credits include Bombay Velvet (2015), Shaandaar (2015), Fitoor (2016), Udta Punjab (2016), Dear Zindagi (2016), Qaidi Band (2017) and Secret Superstar (2017). His 2018 releases include R. Balki’s Pad Man, a biographical drama starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role.
