The Red Bull Tour Bus is back with the third edition of #OffTheRoof, the gig that kickstarts the festival season. Over the years, the Red Bull Tour Bus has hosted some of the most exciting artists from around the country, showcasing them on the stage that opens up atop this crazy venue-on-wheels. From The Raghu Dixit Project to Pentagram and Bhayanak Maut, the Red Bull Tour Bus has seen some memorable performances by the best in the business. This year, we’re taking it to the next level with Nucleya, Benny Dayal Funktuation, Karsh Kale and more.

LINE-UP

Benny Dayal Funktuation
Benny Dayal hails from the state of Kerala, who gained popularity with tracks like ” Tarkeebien” and “Choo Mantar. Funktuation, inspired by the Greats of Funk Rock, they cover to keep it funkaliciouly rocking. With more than a decade’s worth of experience in musical performance, this band came together to rediscover the raw ache for distilled music that once coloured their musical ambitions.

aswekeepsearching
aswekeepsearching is a post-rock/ambient band expressing emotions, life experiences and feelings in the form of instrumental music with some vocals. As we keep searching’s music has always had a sense of ‘otherness’ to it. An amalgamation of electronic, ambient and post-rock styles, their work has been difficult to pin down from the very beginning.

Blackstratblues
Mumbai-based musician Warren Mendonsa aka Blackstratblues has been the guitar god of India for almost a decade now and plays a moody blend of blues and rock. The current Blackstratblues line-up includes Jai Row Kavi (Indus Creed, Tough On Tobacco, Karsh Kale) on drums, Beven Fonseca (Clinton Cerejo) on keyboards and Adi Mistry (Shankar Ehsaan Loy) on bass.

Nucleya
One of the early proponents of dubstep in India, in five short years, Nucleya has emerged as one of the most exciting, experimental and engaging producers in the Indian scene. He has made his mark by focusing on sounds and textures that are Indian in sound but international in appeal.

Karsh Kale Soundsystem
The one man band Karsh Kale has been described as a “visionary composer and producer” by Billboard magazine and has collaborated and recorded with artists like DJ Spooky, Herbie Hancock, Chaka Khan, Amel Larouix, Bill Laswell, Lenny Kravitz and Yoko Ono. Kale has, as of date, recorded over 50 worldwide releases as a session musician and is nowhere close to slowing down. His music seamlessly blends electronica, Indian classical music and rock music with jazz, fusion and hip hop, making him an unmissable live act.
