About
Abbas Kalai Vizha – is a flagship cultural event of Abbas for the last 29 years. When it was started, Dr.K.J.Yesudas, who is the mentor of this Kalai Vizha, had aptly suggested to have this classical cultural event towards the conclusion of the Margazhi music season and towards the beginning of the new year.

Our 30th year Annual Art Festival Kalai Vizha 2022 will be held at YGP Auditorium,PSBB School, T.Nagar from 1st January to Jan 16th (continuously for 16 days). Daily 2 concerts at 4.30 p.m and 7 p.m.

Carnatic vocalist and Playback singer R. Sai Vignesh began singing at a very young age, He is presently learning under the guidance ofCuddalore T.R.Vasudevan (Disciple of Chembai Vaidhyanatha Bhagavathar and Prof. T. R Subramaniam). Sai Vignesh has a ‘B’ High Grade​ Artist of All India Radio and an Empanelled Artiste ​of Indian Council for Cultural Relations ​(ICCR)​, Govt. of India.

He has won several awards including Best Vocal​ artist from The Music Academy for the Spirit of Youth Festival 2018; Top Voices for the Future 2017​ award from TAG Carnatic Music Forum and Shruti`s 3rd Talent Hunt 2017. He is also a recipient of Mumbai Shanmuganandha Sabha’s Bharath Ratna Dr. M. S. Subbulakshmi fellowship award in Carnatic music for the year 2019.

He is currently singing for many leading music directors in the industry .He has also sung many devotional albums & classical recordings.
