Abbas Kalai Vizha – is a flagship cultural event of Abbas for the last 29 years. When it was started, Dr.K.J.Yesudas, who is the mentor of this Kalai Vizha, had aptly suggested to have this classical cultural event towards the conclusion of the Margazhi music season and towards the beginning of the new year.

Our 30th year Annual Art Festival Kalai Vizha 2022 will be held at YGP Auditorium,PSBB School, T.Nagar from 1st January to Jan 16th (continuously for 16 days). Daily 2 concerts at 4.30 p.m and 7 p.m.

Vishakha Hari is a Carnatic music vocalist and proponent of Harikatha, a form of Hindu storytelling.

Smt. Vishaka Hari is a prominent Carnatic music vocalist and established exponent of Harikatha, otherwise known as a story teller of Kathakalakshepam is also a rank holder Chartered Accountant. Smt.Vishaka Hari learnt Carnatic music under the legendary Carnatic violinist, Padma Vibhushan Sri Lalgudi Jayaraman, while her spiritual guru and father-in-law is Sri Sri Krishna Premi Swamigal(Sri Sri Anna). She learnt the art of Harikatha from her husband, Sri Hariji, himself an experienced Harikatha exponent who delivers discourses in Tamil, English and Hindi. Vishaka Hari has performed in several sabhas during the Chennai Music Season since 2006.

She has received medals, prizes and other awards for her contributions to the Harikatha and Carnatic music fields.
