Bengaluru Mini Maker Faire in Bangalore on October 15, 2015

The Maker Faire is a celebration of local maker culture and community. It is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. India is yet to host such a celebration on a grand scale as a Maker Faire but is headed for one in 2016. As a precursor to it, Workbench Projects in collaboration with NASSCOM is hosting the first ever โ€œMini Maker Faireโ€ in India.

This year we really want to inspire our youth and support their passions in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and the arts. Part of the STEM+A inspiration comes from bringing together other makers from the community: professionals from multinationals, local business leaders, educators, schools, colleges, universities, hacker spaces and other independent organizations. We aim to make Bengaluru Mini Maker Faire 2015 a community-based learning event that inspires anyone and everyone to become a maker, an event which is engaging, active and above all fun! We encourage any organization who wishes to be a part of fostering new innovations and furthering the makerโ€™s spirit in India to come forward and work with us to make this event a success and spearhead it towards the prestigious Maker Faire next year!
