Are you enthusiastic about improving the world? Then Techathon sparked by GIZ, YourStory & 91springboard is your chance to hack for a better tomorrow. It doesn’t matter whether you are a hacker, engineer, designer, business development enthusiast or just somebody who wants to solve some of the world’s most pressing social challenges. Everyone is welcome to apply!
You can apply either with an idea or without. Anyone that can demonstrate a unique skillset and a keen interest can apply for one of the four hackathons in Goa, Delhi, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Each hackathon will last for three days (4PM first day till 6 PM last day) and has been designed to address a different social challenge pertaining to a particular sector. How It Works
- Any hacker, developer, engineer, designer, business developer, sector expert, idea generator, coder, etc. can apply for one of the regional hackathons – each skill-set is valuable and needed!
- You can apply with an idea or as an individual outlining the skill set you bring to the table. Those selected with an idea will have the chance to introduce it on the first day and form teams with the diverse set of people we will select.
- You already have an idea and a team – not a problem, apply as a team! The teams, however, should not consist of more than 4 people.
- The ideas and people selected for each regional event will be decided by a jury comprising of GIZ, Bosch, YourStory & 91springboard staff as well as industry experts.
- The decision of the jury is final.
- The hackathons will start Friday 4PM and will go on till Sunday 6PM. While you can continue to work throughout the night, we will close the venue 10:30PM.
- We will ensure there is enough food for you. However, don͛t forget the stuff you need for your own wellbeing and a lot of fun and enthusiasm! Also, don͛t forget to bring your own laptops. A range of gadgets will be provided!
- The top three teams from each regional hackathon will be invited to the national hackathon in Mumbai which will be announced shortly. A new challenge will wait there for you to further enhance your project.
- The top 3 teams will be awarded on the last day of the national hackathon in Mumbai.
- There are exciting prizes in store for all winners.
