Hack 4 Hyderabad – Hackathon in Hyderabad from August 20-21, 2016
The Hack 4 Hyderabad Hackathon, organized by the ProgressWorks and OpenHardwareDays, is going to crowdsource the most innovative technology solutions from our tech community and beyond to help the Hyderabad City deliver on its Challenges. You can learn more about the Challenge here.
Hack 4 Hyderabad is a space in which developers, entrepreneurs, designers, professors, researchers and persons interested in making their city a better place can gather to build in a collaborative fashion a solution that makes our city more efficient and intelligent.
For the first time hackathon teams will compete to provide ideas, solutions or prototypes to multiple challenges using actual city data.
What is Hack 4 Hyderabad?
Hack 4 Hyderabad is going to be a annual hackathon. This year, Hack 4 Hyderabad will be a 200-participant event taking place from August 6th-7th.
Hack 4 Hyderabad is a space in which developers, entrepreneurs, designers, professors, researchers and persons interested in making their city a better place can gather to build in a collaborative fashion a solution that makes our city more efficient and intelligent.
I have never been to a hackathon before, what should I do?
No worries at all. We will be providing mentors during the hackathon and running workshops.
When/where is Hack 4 Hyderabad happening?
Hack 4 Hyderabad will take place on August 20th-21th, at our beautiful Progress Software in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
But I don’t have an idea, what should I do?
Don’t worry! We will walk you through how to generate great ideas at the beginning of Hack 4 Hyderabad.
How about teams?
Once the idea generation is done, there will be an open mic and networking time to find a team. Everyone accepted will also be invited to the Hack 4 Hyderabad’ Slack prior to the hackathon in order to discuss ideas.
Who can participate?
All (working professionals,students)! If you’re someone who is willing to learn and wants to take a shot at changing the world, no matter what your field is, you definitely belong here.
What should I bring?
You will definitely need your laptop, phone, their chargers, as well as a valid ID. Feel free to also bring along a sleeping bag, and we recommend some comfortable clothes.
