Hack Baroda – First Hackathon in Baroda from June 20-21, 2015
A Hackathon is a collaborative creative event where participants form teams and “hack” on an idea. Hackathons provide a venue for self-expression and creativity through technology.
People with technical backgrounds come together, form teams around a problem or idea, and collaboratively code a unique solution from scratch — these generally take shape in the form of websites, mobile apps, and robots.
HackBaroda is Baroda’s first hackathon event open to the masses, bringing together 100s of Gujarat’s finest hackers organized by Google Developers Group, Baroda.
With HackBaroda, we want to prepare talent from Gujarat for hackathons in India and abroad, by hosting an event of a quality and potential that has never been seen before in Gujarat. By providing the finest mentors, facilities, hardware, food and awesomeness, we want to highlight in India the joy of hacker and maker culture.
HackBaroda is about implementing your ideas to practice, being productive, having an enriching experience and yet have some great fun in just a weekend. From opportunities to interact with company recruiters to getting mentorship from corporate leaders and IIT alumni.
You will have a chance to meet people who have achieved a milestone, and also a chance to meet people with whom you will embark the journey to your own milestone. It is an opportunity to put on your nerd glasses and be proud of it. From crazy prizes to cool swag, we are here to make sure nobody goes home empty-handed.
