Megathon 2017 - Hackathon in IIIT Hyderabad from September 23-24, 2017

E-Cell, IIIT Hyderabad, and E-Cell, IIT Hyderabad are excited to announce the second edition of the largest student hackathon of Hyderabad – Megathon’17.
Brace yourselves to solve challenging problems given to you by the likes of Amazon, IBM, and PwC and grab the opportunity to get your solution recognized and used by millions of customers and a chance to be offered an internship at one of these companies.

Format

Participants shall be working in teams of 1-4 on the problem statement provided by a corporate or a social organization. The problem statement shall be released about a week before the event for the participants to brainstorm and they shall be expected to build upon the idea during the event only on the basis of the guidelines provided by the company. 

Prizes

For each problem statement, we have the following prizes:

  1. Rs. 5000 Cash Prize and Rs. 15000 worth of Amazon Gift Vouchers for the winning team.
  2. Rs. 5000 Cash Prize and Rs. 5000 worth of Amazon Gift Vouchers for the first runner up team.
  3. A 6-month internship interview opportunity with Amazon for the winning team in each category/problem statement.

Every participant shall be given:

  5. 15$ worth Digital Ocean credits.

Eligibility

The event is open to all the undergraduate and postgraduate college students from all streams. A valid college ID card is essential to participate in the event. Cross-college teams are allowed.

Registration

The purpose of the registration fees is to take in only serious participants. The entire amount shall be reimbursed on the day of the event in the form of food and free T-shirt among other goodies. You can register individually or as a team of up to 4 members. In the former case, we will allow you to form teams later also.
