Delphique - National Management Research Convention in Gurgaon from November 20-22, 2015

Delphique is MDI’s National Management Convention hosted every year. In its 19th year now, Delphique is India’s only B-school event which focuses on strong research in various domains of management. Derived from the famous ‘Delphi’ method, the event provides the perfect platform for practitioners & thought leaders from the industry, academia and the student populace to come together to discuss contemporary issues faced by the industry. Famously known as the Red Carpet event of MDI, Delphique is a confluence of three events: Research Panel Discussions –Faculty mentored research coupled with a high profile panel discussion; Vincenza – International Business Plan competition; Cerebro – Cerebro is the National Case Study Challenge.delphique

Delphique plays host to around 20 leading organizations and over 70 corporate leaders every year. Over the years Delphique has had a healthy association with leading dailies and newspapers such as The Financial Express, Business Standard, online media partners such as Dare2Compete. ZeeBusiness did a special telecast on Delphique 2012.

Delphique 2014-15 played host to 22 companies and 50+ corporates across diverse domains of industry. Delphique got extensive corporate participation from knowledge partners such as Western Union, Encyclopaedia Britannica, ZS, Aricent, Hero Future Energy, Michael Page, Lafarge, Coca-cola, DSM, E&Y. The convention was inaugurated by Mr. ManojKohli, MD, Bharti Enterprises Ltd.

Day 1 witnessed the presence of some key note speakers like Mr. R. S. Sharma, MD & CEO of Jindal Power, Mr. K.S. Popli, Chairman, IREDA, Mr. Rahul Munjal, MD, HFE, Mr. Sunil Jain, CEO & ED, HFE.

Day 2 saw interesting discussions on topics like usage of internet by school students, benchmarking of best HR processes, leveraging social media to raise funds for ‘support my School’ campaign with speakers like Mr. Vijay Sethi, VP and CIO, Hero MotoCorp, Mr. AmitKapoor, Head Digital Learning, BritannicaEncyclopaedia, Mr. Hari Krishnan, MD, Zenithoptimedia, Mr. Sameer Pathak, Senior Manager, PAC, Coca-Cola, Mr. IndranilMitra, Additional General Manager, NTPC, Mr. VedPrakashKhatri, Vice President, BritannicaEncyclopaedia, Mr. ShujaMirza, Master Principal Solutions Consultant, Oracle India.

Day 3provided a platform for students to interact with few successful entrepreneurs like Mr. Parag Shah, founder, MIDAS, Mr. Prasoon Gupta, Director, Sattviko, Mr. PradeepGidwani, Founder, The Beer Café and The Pint Room. Day 3 also witnessed the presence of speakers like Mr. S. K. Munjal, Jt. MD, Hero MotoCorp, Mr. G. Radhakrishnan, Vice President, American Express, Mr. BrijNandanYadava, VP, DLF, Mr. MohitKapoor, MD, Lafarge India and the list continues.

With 11 research panels on board, Delphique provided a wonderful opportunity to students to interact with the corporates. The research panel discussions provided a platform for students to present their ideas and research findings across to the corporates and thereby learn from their experiences. The case study competition Cerebro partnered with Cognizant saw participation from over 400 teams. The b-plan competition Vincenza partnered with Midas. Incubators e.g. Indian Angel Network, 91 Springboard andSternfisherjudged over 100 b-plans.

The convention also witnessed support from giants like Jindal Power and IREDA. Corporates e.g. Foodpanda, Sattviko and Dabur also participated atthe convention through projects and support to the events.Delphique 2014-15 got extensive coverage in Hindustan Times, Deccan Herald and Business World. Other media partners such as Impact, InsideIIM,MBAclubindia, MBA Universe, MBASkoolalso covered the event.
