Environmental protection actions in Bangalore: when do they occur, why do they occur, what makes them successful. Speaker: Harini Nagendra, Prof of Sustainability, Azim Premji University. Harini’s research examines issues of social-ecological sustainability in forests and cities in the global South, with a focus on natural resource commons such as lakes and forests.

Jivabhumi is the story of a team of social entrepreneurs addressing the problem of ‘SAFE FOOD and health for consumers through natural farming’ and ‘Bettering the lot of farmers, by improving their returns’ – by building communities: Local Communities of Farmers & Farmer co-operatives, and Communities of Conscious Consumers and finally ‘connect everyone to their food’. They employ technology platform to optimise and scale supply & distribution. Speaker: Laxminaryan S., cofounder, Jivabhumi.
