Felicity Theatre Charitable Organisation brings to you a fun-filled online workshop conducted by the most celebrated personalities of the TV/ Bollywood industry Puneet Issar, Rakesh Bedi, Anant Mahadevan and Rohini Hattangadi.
Felicity Theatre takes pride in giving the young generation a thriving atmosphere to grow, discover and practice their passion by giving them the opportunity to learn from the renowned actors, directors of the country.
These workshops will be held thrice a week (Fri, Sat & Sun) for 3 hours providing students the best experience of their lifetime. The aim of this initiative is to create a never-before opportunity for anyone with a creative spark by giving them a platform to showcase their talents to the public at large.
These workshops will focus on an actor’s individual fears and inhibitions, performing a story, diction, orientation about the actor’s work, imagination, spontaneity and playfulness with the help of various crafts of theatre.
Other aspects covered will be creating characters, speech/ monologue, motivation and stage appearance.
A fully interactive session with the masters building the student’s confidence and skills of communicating, debating and acting.
A wonderful opportunity for the students to be a part of our first-ever online learning sessions with the maestros of acting/direction.
Masters
Puneet Issar is most famous for his role as ‘Duryodhana’ in the iconic TV show ‘Mahabharat’, made by the legendary BR Chopra. He also directed and acted in Felicity theatre’s magnum opus play Mahabharat-the epic tale. He is famous for Writing & Directing the 2004 Super Hit Film “Garv”- Pride and Honour starring Salman Khan. He played the lead in the cult Indian horror film Purana Mandir. He did many other hit movies in the 80s and 90s such as Tehkhana, Raja Aur Rana, Teja, Palay Khan, Zakhmi Aurat, Ram Jane, Sanam Bewafa, Jaagruti, Suryavanshi and many more. Puneet was also one of the lead Action Hero’s in the blockbuster War film BORDER, which remains a benchmark in Indian cinema.
Rakesh Bedi is a renowned actor and director. He has acted in over 150 films and TV shows in a career spanning over 4 decades. He first came in public attention for his comic role in 1981 hit Chasme Buddoor. The actor then won many roles in films like Vishwasghaat, Saajan Chale Sasural, Mr. and Mrs. Khiladi and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. He also continued doing plays and his most noteworthy role in the one-man play ‘Massage’, where he played 24 different characters on-stage. Around the same time, Bedi`s roles in TV shows such as Ye Jo Hai Zindagi, Shrimaan Shrimati and Yes Boss made him a household name. He has also directed plays like Jab we separated, Patte Khul Gaye and many more.
Anant Mahadevan,is a screenwriter, actor, and director of Hindi and Marathi films and television serials in India. Having been an integral part of the Indian television serials and Hindi movies since the 1980s, he is also involved in the professional English and Hindi theatre. Ananth received the National Award (2010) for the Best Screenplay and Dialogues for the successful Marathi movie Mee Sindhutai Sapkal.
Rohini Hattangadi is an Indian actress, known for her work in Marathi language and Hindi Films, Television and Theatre. She has won two Filmfare Awards, one National Film Award, and is the only Indian actress to win the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance as Kasturba Gandhi in Gandhi(1982). An alumna of the National School of Drama of New Delhi, Hattangadi had worked mainly in theatre when she made her movie debut with Arvind Desai Ki Ajeeb Dastaan in 1978. Some of her noted cinematic roles were in such art films as Arth (1982), Party and Saaransh (1984). Hattangadi was mostly offered character roles in mainstream Hindi cinema after her portrayal in Gandhi, often typecast in mother roles much ahead of her years. Respected for her acting prowess, she has appeared in over 80 feature films, and is active in theatre and television.
