THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS is a professional association that promotes the art, science & practice of multidisciplinary engineering & allied sciences around the globe via continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach.
One of the ways in which we do this at VIT is through MECHNOVATE which is an annual international symposium where students come to expand the horizons of their technical knowledge. The myriad range of topics on which events, workshops and fruitful discussions are held is truly mind boggling. Students benefit from these interactions in their own respective fields while pushing them in a direction of hard sciences and advanced engineering.
Mechnovate is a Four Day International Level Mechanical Symposium organised by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers VIT Student Section.Organised during the month of March, Mechnovate is a one of a kind knowledge carnival for the mechanical enthusiasts out there. Gaining attention from more than 150 colleges around the whole nation, the symposium truly sets the standards. With a team of around 50 enthusiastic members, it comprises of crowd pulling workshops organised by foreign Car designers like Emanuele Nicosia and Mizuho Tomita. The symposium is not just about workshops, it has events where the participants can participate to have fun while they learn. So hold on to your hats for the next version of the symposium, Mechnovate 2016 which promises to be bigger and way better with two of its premier events: Human Powered Vehicle Challenge and Student Professional Development Conference.
