Nvision 2014 – Tech Fest in IIT Hyderabad from November 1-2, 2014
Electronica
1. Battle of the Breadboard – Nvision gives you an opportunity to prove yourselves. Circuit Design Challenge is an event where a problem statement will be given to you, A circuit has to be made which satisfies the problem statement. It will be evaluated on the day of the event.
2. DTMF Racing – A competition can never be fair. One uses all the means available to reach to that final goal of victory which everyone dreams of. So, it is not just winning anymore but how you win one.
Crush your competitors and hold the victory cup that is within your hand’s reach.
Cepheid
1. Aquanaut – In this event, participants have to build a Water rocket which is pressurised by compressed air. Water acts as the fuel.
Be a Newton and test the Third law for yourselves.
2. Eureka – All of you competitors, welcome you to the court of Cepheid. Use your inventiveness and creativity to solve what promise to be enticing problems of physics and stars and go “Eureka!”
Equilibria
1. Bridge Building – This event aims to harness practical design and constructional abilities of the participants.
2. Project X – Here is our version of Junkyard Wars. This is the land where, missile launchers are made of paper, choppers are made from ice cream sticks and balloons, lifting machines are made out of syringes and hydraulics.
E – Cell
1. Business Simulation – Business Simulation Game aims to simulate a real life entrepreneurial experience where participants get an opportunity to own a company of their own.
2. Crowd Pitch – “Crowd pitch “ is a crowd funding competition for creative projects and ideas. It is platform where project creators/startups/ individuals can present their ideas to a connected audience and to the panelists from the crowdfunding industry.Pitch it to the crowd.
Infero
1. Algorithma – Going to the roots of where anything this side of the calculator was born. Logic, Aptitude, Skill and Passion are all you need to get through this event
2. Proquest – The “Big Daddy” of the coding events. Rumour has it that long ago Gods like Marcus Zukerbergas, Steven Jobulus and Bla’al Ga’ate were born at events like this. Will you be next?
Kludge
1. Got Root – Break into the victim‘s computer and perform some devilish tasks – the dream of every hacker. The tasks to be done will be revealed on the spot.
2. Enigma – Compete against others hackers in exploring different levels of a challenge maze with your hacking skills.Its an on-the-spot event, in which there will a website/portal hosted locally and all the teams will have to navigate the website solving a series of puzzles and challenges. The first team to reach the goal or go the farthest in the time limit bags the prize.
Torque
1. Drift King – Rule the streets with your own dream car. The event where you are the mechanic and the racer. See you at the chequered flag!
2. Mine Strife – Well digging the earth has been something man has been doing for centuries. We have dug earth to obtain so many metals, minerals, and even the precious drinking water. So, why not excavate and have fun!?
Quizes
1. Introspect (By Prasanna Karmakar) – The Open General Quiz Delve within to gain answers, about one and everything from everyday happenings to the quirks of the world. Keep pouncing to win this hunt of points.
