Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology is pioneer in the arena of education, which was established in 1987 by Dr. Jeppiaar. Every move of the institution in the recent past is towards touching the summit of excellence under the leadership of our Chancellor Dr.Mariazeena Johsnon and President Dr.Marie Johnson. A spectrum of Centre of Excellence pertinent to different engineering disciplines is making remarkable achievements. Right from inception in 1987 the institution has attained many accolades from Government and Private professional bodies and confidence of thousands of parents and students.
Begun with engineering, now institution expanded into Science, Dental, Pharmacy, Law, Arts and Science streams with the focal point as serving best to the nation. In the process of serving relentlessly to the society in education sector, institution has received many recognitions and accreditations, attaining Deemed University Status in 2001, accreditation with A grade by NAAC, achieving fourth consecutive year in top 50 rankings of NIRF ranking by MHRD, 4 Star Rating by QS – Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), and QS I-Gauge Diamond rating for overall excellence, ranked 351+ among the Asian University by Times Higher Education, FICCI Award for “Excellence in Employability through Industry Engagement” and for Excellence in research and “Best Upcoming University” in the International Education award category conferred by the Global Education Forum, Discovery Media are notable.
Sathyabama holds great promise to expand the applications of space technology, benefiting the common man and enriching the quality of life in association with Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). The Institute wrote a special page in the history of space research on 22nd June, 2016 with the launch of “SATHYABAMASAT” in association with ISRO, which is the first successful mission.
The Institution is offering engineering, arts and science, dental, pharmacy and law disciplines with 39 programs at UG level and 24 programs at PG level in all disciplines. The institution has excellent infrastructure facilities including modern laboratories, library with multimedia facilities, internet and other general amenities.
Technosummit provides best platform for ideating, presentation of startup ideas and encouraging innovative thinking This year, Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology is back with its national tech-fest “Technosummit 2k19”. Here, we encourage students from all around the country to come, stay and indulge in our exciting events and informative workshops over a span of 2 days.
