Alexa is the voice enabled personality that powers groundbreaking Amazon devices like the Echo, Dot, and Amazon Tap. Similar to the way computing changed how customers gathered information and connected with customers across the world; or the way cloud computing changed how we manage our data – we believe voice technology will change the way consumers interact with your product.
In this session, we will introduce you to the Alexa Voice Service – Amazon’s cloud based service that handles all the speech recognition, machine learning, and natural language understanding for all Alexa-enabled devices, including Amazon Echo, and gives you the ability to build voice driven apps called skills, that enable customers to interact with devices in a more intuitive way by using voice. Examples of these skills include the ability to play music, answer general questions, set an alarm or timer and more.
