Robotics Olympics for Ages 9-14 in Hyderabad
Robotics is something everyone wants to do nowadays, and why not? The idea of a walking and talking machine that can do your work for you is awesome. However, learning robotics is no fun and of no use without actually understanding every single component and concept that makes a robot.
This is a beginners program. NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Come with an open mind, and leave with some great learning and an experience of a lifetime!
About this camp
Design and build sport-playing robots. Watch them perform.
What happens in this camp?
Get your fundamentals right with this beginner robotics camp. Learn about circuits, switches and motors. Learn how to create your own end-effector mechanisms. Starting from scratch, build a robot that can play football, basketball, tennis, and run a relay race. Hold an Olympics parade and watch your robots perform!

Why should I take up this camp?
Robotics is something everyone wants to do nowadays, and why not? The idea of a walking and talking machine that can do your work for you is awesome. However, learning robotics is no fun and of no use without actually understanding every single component and concept that makes a robot.
This camp takes you back the very basics of what makes a robot: building its body, building its circuitry, modifying it for a specific use and understanding how it all fundamentally works.
Camp Learning Outcomes
- Basic dynamics of making a robot
- Manual robotics: Components & their working principles
- Manual robotics: Building Rovers, basic circuitry, operation using DPDT switches.
- Engineering: concepts related to relative motion between robot components
- Engineering: conceptualizing and building drive mechanisms based on application
Skill Outcomes
- Critical Thinking – Can I make the correct judgments that put together the different strengths of my team to conceptualize a 3D model, create a 3D representation on a software, and print it out using the capabilities of the 3D printer given to me?
- Creativity: How can I use my everyday experience to come up with a creative solution to an everyday problem?
- Communication – There will be no final product without discussion and negotiation
- Collaboration – It takes a strong team go through the entire process of designing and printing a 3D model
- Decision Making – What is my 3D model solution to an everyday problem? How should it look like?
- Time Management – How can we conceptualize, design a realistic 3D model, make it ready for 3D printing and print it out in 6 hours?
