Adventure Fest in IIIT Hyderabad from February 19-21, 2016

Come feel the vibe of a festival full of adventures, music and magic. Fly in the skies on a hot air balloon, swing from buildings like a tarzan, thrill for speeds on a zipline and rappel off a vertical wall for the adrenaline rush while enjoying various other events happening all over the campus.

Hot air balloon ride
The hot air balloon is the first successful human-carrying flight technology. A hot air balloon consists of a bag called the envelope that is capable of containing heated air. Suspended beneath is a gondola or wicker basket (in some long-distance or high-altitude balloons, a capsule), which carries passengers and (usually) a source of heat, in most cases an open flame. The heated air inside the envelope makes it buoyant since it has a lower density than the relatively cold air outside the envelope.
Tarzan Swing
Jump off a building top tied to a rope just to swing like a tarzan while everyone is watching you from below. Experience a freefall for about a second.

Zip lining
A zip-line consists of a pulley suspended on a cable, usually made of stainless steel, mounted on an incline. It is designed to enable a user propelled by gravity to travel from the top to the bottom of the inclined cable by holding on to, or attaching to, the freely moving pulley. Zip-lines come in many forms, most often used as a means of entertainment.
Rappelling
Rappelling, abseiling – whatever you call it, is a technique of descent from vertical faces with the aid of ropes and specialized rappelling equipment. It is the quickest and easiest way to get a taste of mountaineering. Perfect as an introductory adventure, Rappelling also has a psychological application in boosting confidence and courage.Rappelling facilitates an attitude of overcoming challenges. In waterfall rappelling, we rappel down a vertical wall instead of a dry cliff.

Wear comfortable clothing.
No Smoking, no drinking.
Instructors word is final, if you do not listen to the instructors, you will not be allowed to do any activities.
Do not interfere in the setup of any of the activities.

Felicity is the annual techno-cultural fest of IIIT Hyderabad. The students of the institute come together to create an event that is the expression of their creativity and technical prowess.
