Meraki 2020 – The Business Plan Competition
Meraki – The B-Plan competition is designed to give collegiate entrepreneurs a real-world experience to fine tune their business plans and elevator pitches to generate funding to successfully commercialize their product.
Meraki is a Business Plan Competition for students with exceptional venture ideas. It is organized and conducted by FIIB’s Centre for Innovation & Entrepreneurship which is focused on creating an ecosystem of entrepreneurial thoughts and mindsets and an engagement platform for FIIB stakeholders, innovators and entrepreneurs. This is Meraki’s 9th year. During this time it has grown at an exponential rate of 600% – from 361 registrations in 2012 to 3000 in 2019!
Every year Meraki receives entries from top colleges of India and South Asia. From all the plans that are received, 10 teams qualify to present to an eminent jury panel comprising top entrepreneurs and VC’s of India Inc. Judges evaluate the teams as real-world entrepreneurs soliciting start-up funds from early-stage investors and venture capital firms. The judges rank the presentations based on which company they would most likely invest.
