Santoor Recital by Shri Ajay Bakshi in Hyderabad on December 27, 2015

Inviting all for an evening of Santoor Recital by Shri Ajay Bakshi. Shri Bhakshi likes to play Anavaat raagas on Santoor creating a few Gaats in different rythemic cycles in concerts.

Ajay Bakshi was classical music prodigy commencing its learning at the age of five at the Gandharva Mahavidyalaya at Pune under the tutelage of Pt.D.K.Agashe. After basic training he started training under his father and famous vocalist and Guru Pt. Vijay Bakshi. After graduation, the delicate tunes of famous Kashmir instrument Santoor fascinated him and he started learning Santoor under the guidance of well-known Santoor player Pt. Dr. Dhananjay Daithankar, who himself was a senior disciple of Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma.
