About VIT
Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore is rated among the top 10 engineering colleges in India. As one of the most prominent colleges in the region, it is home to a diverse student body of 35,000 students representing around 60 countries and each Indian state. VIT has always been at the forefront of technical research and advancement and has contributed to societal transformation. VIT strongly encourages and promotes technological development by young innovators.
GraVITas is the annual technical fest of VIT. As one of the most prominent universities in the area, GraVITas commands the attention of the massive 35,000 strong student base of all colleges in the region. With a footfall of 20,000 students last year alone, GraVITas gives everyone a chance to participate in events and be exposed to the latest development and innovations.
About VIT Hack
VIT Hack aims to provide a platform for participants, including but not limited to Indian students, to contribute their ideas as solutions to real-world problems. In this global event, we hope to create a confluence of different cultures and ideas from around the world. Tracks related to emerging technologies aim to expand the participants’ horizons so as to spark innovation. Problem statements will also be driven towards social causes to help channel the participants’ thoughts into impactful change. Participants will be given the opportunity to learn, to grow and to adapt their ideas into the change they wish to see.
VIT Hack is focused on bringing leading industry professionals, tech pioneers, and trailblazers to help ignite the fire of innovation in participants. The hackathon is completely free of cost to attend. While technical knowledge is certainly an aid, it is not essential, participants must also work on building a team that surpasses expectations in pitch and management. All that we wish is you get your best ideas, your confidence and your willingness to have a great time.
Talks
VIT Hack will begin with talks from experts hailing from a myriad of industries ranging from commerce to tech, to give participants an insight into their experience in the industry, and to motivate them for the challenge that awaits.

Gala Dinner
Participants will be given the chance to interact with leading industry experts and engage in intellectual discussions before the hack, to encourage them to broaden their horizons.
Hack
Participants will engage in a 36-hour hackathon on problem statements intended to challenge their wits.
Exposition
Companies exhibit their vision, projects, designs, ideas and products to the attendees. Through this, organizations have an excellent opportunity to influence attendees and give them the necessary exposure to current tech trends.
