Whilst lesser mortals would construe Spree as a mere Annual Sports Festival, the stalwarts of this fervid extravaganza would undoubtedly describe it as an arena encompassing the pinnacle of sporting talent and activity from all corners of the land, in addition to being a spectacle of ferocious competition, astounding excitement and unbridled joy. From its modest initiation in the summer of 2006, Spree has metamorphosed into one of the most widely anticipated and eagerly awaited sporting events of the year, and is already the palanquin bearer of many a heroic tale of victory and glory.
