Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) is IIT Kharagpur’s annual, international corporate summit conducted by Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Kharagpur. It is the largest student-level entrepreneurial summit in India.
GES 2014 is scheduled to be held at IIT Kharagpur from 10th-12th January, 2014.
An amalgamation of several informative and educative events, GES aims to act as a platform where students can interact with professionals, corporates, startups, academia as well as investors and set themselves on an accelerated learning curve.
GES has been graced by several noteworthy guest talks in the past. Some of them being by: Dr. Harish Hande, founder of SELCO and Ramon Magsaysay Award winner, Dr. Nachiket Mor( Former Dep MD, ICICI Bank and Chairman ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth), Mr. Vinod Dham(Father of Pentium), Mr. Suneet Singh Tuli( CEO, Datawind-of Aakash Tablet fame), Ms. Rashmi Bansal, celebrated author of books on entrepreneurship, Prof. Anil Gupta, founder at HoneyBee Network and professor at IIM-Ahmedabad, Mr. Sanjeev Bhikchandani( CEO, Naukri.com).
Several top-notch corporate firms have conducted workshops in the past including Deloitte, Microsoft, Intel, Wipro.
The participation of international institutions like Babson College, National University of Singapore, Boston University, Stanford University and professionals from Bloomberg, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal and Forbes in the Global Entrepreneurship Conference has also been a huge factor in star-studding GES.
With a host of other startup-centric events like Startup Camp, Co-Founders’ Meet, Elevator Pitch, VC Panel Discussion and various new and innovative initiatives among several others, GES 2014 promises to be even bigger and better.
This January, the entire nation is going to be swept by a wave of entrepreneurship originating from IIT Kharagpur. Come one, come all and immerse yourself in this phenomenon known as the Global Entrepreneurship Summit!
